Following an icy winter, Bromley Council is working to repair the potholes caused by the weather on local roads.
Bromley, as London’s largest borough, has 537 miles of road, the equivalent distance from Bromley to Zurich. Potholes are caused largely by snow and ice cracking the road and traffic then gradually loosening the surface material.
Unfortunately, TfL, controlled by the Mayor of London, has not granted any money for the Principal Road Network, save for two roads, since 2018.
Despite this Bromley Council is working hard to repair our roads. Our contractor has dedicated teams repairing 70 roads every day. In addition, our planned maintenance programme will see more than 30 roads resurfaced in the coming financial year.
