Hannah has been a ward Councillor for West Wickham ward since 2014 and was the Conservative Party Parliamentry Candidate for the 2024 general election. Her passion is our small businesses and the next generation. She is a local business owner and had the honour to serve as Bromley's Mayor in 2020/21 and 2022/23.
Cllr. Nicholas Bennett JP has represented West Wickham since 2006. He is the Executive Member for Transport, Highways and Road Safety. He represents Bromley on London Councils Transport and Environment Committee.
Mark represents West Wickham Ward. He is currently a Retail Account Manager for a multi-national company and has worked in this sector for the past decade. Before this he was the owner of a Bromley Driving School for ten years. In his spare time Mark is a member of the West Wickham Safer Neighbourhood Panel, whose job it is to advise the West Wickham ward Police team about local community crime and disorder concerns, which then enables the ward Police team to decide promises and priorities which are intended to match community concerns.
London Assembly Member for Bexley and Bromley, Peter Fortune, has called on the Labour Mayor of London, Sadiq Khan, to scrap plans for pay-per-mile road charging in Greater London. This follows Peter uncovering evidence of a ‘Project Detroit’- a TfL programme partly aimed at enabling forms of road charging based on distance.
Member of Parliament for Beckenham & West Wickham, Bob Stewart, has joined local Councillors in petitioning the Deputy Mayor of London (Police & Crime) to fund a new Police vehicle for the Safer Neighbourhood Teams (SNTs) in the Wards of Hayes & Coney and West Wickham Wards to use jointly.
Hayes & Coney Hall Ward Councillor, Thomas Turrell, has written to Southeastern Railways to challenge the operator about an apparent reduction in the number of carriages on its trains from Hayes to Charing Cross since the timetable change in December 2022.
Member of Parliament for the Beckenham constituency, Bob Stewart, has written to both the Managing Director of Southeastern Railways and the Secretary of State for Transport to call for the immediate reinstatement of the Cannon Street services from Hayes. Local Conservatives have criticised Labour’s record at City Hall after new figures revealed the Mayor of London has hiked Council Tax by 57% since he was elected in 2016, compared to Boris Johnsons record of cutting Council Tax during his term.
Tennis Courts across the borough are set to receive thousands of pounds worth of investment to restore the courts, improve security and enable online bookings. This is part of a £30 million nationwide investment in improving the nations tennis courts, jointly between the Department of Culture, Media, Sport & Digital and the Lawn Tennis Association.
On the 22nd November, Bromley Council’s Environment Committee voted to approve two-year trial to allow wildflowers to grow on grass verges at selected locations across the borough.
The Conservatives have accused Labour, Liberal Democrat and Green Assembly Members of giving the Mayor of London a blank cheque on the ULEZ Extension after they voted to amend the Mayor’s Transport Strategy, paving the way for the extension, before the results of the consultation has been published. Only the Conservative Group at City Hall voted against the move.
