The Beckenham and Penge constituency, which comes into effect at the next General Election, runs from Crystal Palace Park in the North-West of the borough to Shortlands station in the east and, West Wickham in the south. The constituency takes in a number of communities including Anerley, Beckenham, Crystal Palace, Elmers End, Eden Park, Park Langley, Penge, Shortlands and West Wickham.
The constituency is made up of several electoral wards. is an electoral district represented on Bromley Council by two or three councillors. There are seven wards in the constituency:

* while the majority of Shortlands & Park Langley is in the Beckenham & Penge constituency, the section of the ward east of the railway line (Shortlands Village, Queensmead and Ravensbourne) are in the Bromley and Biggin Hill constituency.
The local Conservative Party structure mirrors the electoral system and the association has six branches, one for each ward. The branches support the elected Councillors in getting out regular newsletters, running elections and other campaigns and fund raising to support the work of the association.
